Once upon a time, long ago, a small fig tree sapling was planted as a food source for the first settlers of Kangaroo Island.

Now, 120 years later, its colossal gnarled limbs and shimmering leaves have formed an enchanting dining location.

On arrival you will be welcomed by your host with a Kangaroo Islands Spirits cocktail and a selection of canapes. You will then be invited to venture through the leafy entrance of our majestic old fig tree where it will open up into a collection of natural ‘living’ rooms, each decked out with stunning table settings ready for you to experience a magical feast of the senses.

Inspired by fig mythology, the island location, sea, land and earth – our chef Stephanie Vass has handcrafted a special menu that includes a hint of local history, a splash of fairy tale, and a sprinkle of the unexpected!
